baptism grapesOn September 8th, 2014 my Grandaughter Olivia at the age of 8 was baptised. This is done by immersion of a believer in water, in the name of Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Baptism represents the crucifixion, burial and resurrection in Christ.  (Matthew 28:19-20)

I think those of us who are grandparents can agree that the birth of a grandchild is a very precious and emotional experience to us.  Because Olivia had accepted Jesus as her Savior, this day of my granddaughter’ s baptism was far more meaningful as in that we would now spend eternity together.  Because we have both professed our faith and confessed our sins, receiving into our hearts as our Savior Jesus Christ who died on the cross and rose again to join His Father in heaven we will be together in this place He has prepared for us.

(John 14:1-3) In the Bible says-“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.  In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that were I am, there you may be also.”

If you would like to join your family and friends  in heaven, remember this: “For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)  You cannot enter Heaven but by Him.  Jesus says in (John 14:6)  “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

Do not let yourself and your loved ones get left behind when He returns in the clouds for those of us who have given ourselves unto Him, by confessing all of our sins, asking Jesus to come into our hearts as our Savior with baptism and following in His footsteps to spread His plan of salvation.

God’s Love For Me.

Well I got so busy in April I for the first time forgot to write my blog!  How embarrassing.   I’m going to forgive myself though because what I have been doing is for God.   In my volunteer work I read and answer emails from all over the world and try to help people with the Lord to guide me with their problems and salvation.   I am humbled by these emails.  The sorrows of people in need just amaze  me.   I have sobbed reading them.

Addictions of all kinds, abuse, culture problems.  Most people want to find help though God.  When I read  I thank God for sending this person to me.  I pray for wisdom and for the Holy Spirit to put the words in my mouth, to comfort them and to be able to tell them how salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord is the only kind of help they need.

The more emails I do, the closer I feel to the Lord.  When I am searching for a verse that will help someone, I am learning the Bible more and more with each email.  I am calling upon the Holy Spirit, learning to listen for the answer I seek.  This is the best non-paying job I have ever had!  Well actually if I think about I am getting paid.  Not monies, but Joy, love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…Galatians 5:22.  All these things are heightened now, I am constantly aware that I need to be all these things to serve the Lord.

I want to thank my husband and my mother who live with me for allowing me to spend time reading and answering these emails.  I know it takes time away from them.   Pray for me to be able witness to others about God’s love and salvation.

Yours in Christ’s love, heartfulandhelpful,

Hi E,  I love you. Grandmother

We have had the pleasure of having a few of our Missionary’s home and sharing the love of the Lord with them.  I love when we ladies of the church get together to appreciate our Missionary’s, everyone brings a little food and we listen to the  stories of how God works in the souls of people who have very little hope, who have believed in false God’s all their life.  It amazes me the creative ways that the story of Jesus is brought to people of different countries.  The language barriers that must be won and culture that are learned.  I think Missionary’s are amazing!

Live and love like Jesus. Keep growing in the Lord. Abiding in Christ. Your first love is Christ, He should be your number one. Psalm 56:3  “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you.”  1 Thessalonians 2:24-26  “And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.”  Psalm 18:31-32  ‘For who is God, except the Lord?  And the rock, except our God?  It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect.”

These are a few things we spoke of and prayed on.  I found them a great comfort.   I hope you will as well.

Yours in Christ love,  heartfulandhopeful

Have you ever said “Why me God? What have I done to deserve this?.”   The answer is very simple.  You have not done anything.   You have not done anything that God should reward you.  We still think that we are in charge of our lives.  We are not.  There are two forces in our lives and one is evil while the other is good.  Good for us that is.  When we become born again (folllowing Christ)  We have the guidence (Holy Spirit) that unbelievers do not have and never will as long as they refuse to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.

I have done wrong in my life and still He loves me.  He forgives me and The Holy Spirit trains me how not to do those things again and if I do He will remind me and scold me.  Forgiveness is found in prayer and reading my Bible, faithfully learning more about the Lord and  attending church.  The longer you live in Christ the easier it is to become Christ-like.  And by that I mean as He would like for you to be.  A disicple for Him.  To teach others how to love Him and have eternal life.  Imagine if every christian shared their love for Him each day.  How much more love we would have for one another.

Prayers, your prayers go unanswered until He hears the most important prayer you will say in your life:  “Father,  I know I am a sinner, I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and ask you to forgive me of my sins and I accept you into my heart as my Savior, Amen.”  This is called repentance.  Only then will you begin to know the presence of the Holy Spirit.  God is about love, love for Him, for yourself and loving your neighbor as yourself.

Living for the Lord is rewarding,  life is still tough but you have comfort in knowing that no matter what,  God is going to take care of you.  It may not be in the way you wanted or the timing may be off but He will take care of you.  A heart sensitive to the Lord will know what He is doing.  If you trust, have faith and abide in Him.

(1 Corinthians 13:4-7) in the NKJV says- “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

For those of you who are struggling with the question, “Why Me” turn to our Lord and ask for forgiveness of your sins.  Then act on your commitment and know you will have the Holy Spirit to guide you in all you do.

When you accept Jesus into heart as your personal Savior, you not only have salvation, you also have The Holy Spirit to guide you.  When Jesus arose from the dead and left us to join His Father in heaven, He left behind a Spirit.  Not just any Spirit but the Holy Spirit.  Since Jesus could no longer be with us in the flesh He knew we would need someone to keep us going in the direction of becoming disciples.  Someone to right us when we are wrong.  As a Christian when you do wrong, you have a nagging feeling that won’t let you forget that wrong.  That is the Holy Spirit nudging you, making sure you ask for forgiveness from whom ever you wronged as well ask asking God to forgive you.  The Holy Spirit will also stop you in your tracks as you are about to say or do wrong.  If you would like to be close to Him, you must listen for the voice.  I hear it in my mind often now and embrace the mentoring I receive as well as the accountability lashings.

As I talk to others all over the world in my email ministry that is The Holy Spirit guiding my thoughts and my words so that each person may hear the Gospel and the plan of salvation so that they can know that all men can be saved because Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose again so that He will one day come again to gather all who have believed on Him and give them eternal life.   (John 14:16-17)  “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever–The Spirit of truth, the world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him or knows him.  But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”

In this life there are many trials, tribulations, and hardships. Without God at the helm, we find ourselves at a loss for hope and peace that fills us and gives us something to live for. This blog is a place for me to share the hope God gives me despite the circumstances I face and to extend that hope and love to others. May it be an inspiration and blessing to your heart!
